Comfortable and fun, but watch out
I bought a pair of these sandals in February 2005 and am still wearing them. Like any sandal, they are fun and easy to wear. Just recently I’ve noticed that the front part of the soles has worn down and they are smooth now. Also the foam bed has started to crack in several places, but for the price I’d say I’ve gotten reasonable use out of them.

The bottle opener is a great conversation piece. Also rest assured, they do hold up to wear and tear. I was skeptical when I bought these how long they’d stay intact, but I can attest that they are still in and functional… kinda mangled, but still intact and functioning.

Also, if you think you’re just gonna swing your leg up and crack open a beer like Mr. Joe Cool, then think again. I remember when I first got these I was at a backyard house party while in San Diego. I was flirting with these two girls, talkin’ my game and trying to be super cool. So I grab another beer, and while talking to them, I lift my foot and try to crack the bottle open. Well, between trying to keep my balance and get the lip of the cap in the opener, I apparently shook it up a bit. When I finally did open it, the resulting explosion of foam shot all over me and the two girls. Not cool.

I would suggest taking the sandal off to use the bottle opener feature.

All and all, a great shoe. Fun and easy to wear.

Another tip: Make sure you wash these every so often! Stick ‘em in the washing machine. I neglected to do this and developed a nasty case of athlete’s foot from them. Just a heads up. Enjoy!

Not as durable as previous reef sandle
I bought a pair of Freddy P’s reef sandals that lasted 3 years before finally breaking. I loved those shoes. At that point I had to get the Fanning’s as the Freddy P’s are no longer being made.

The Fanning shoe has lasted me about 1 year, keeping in mind I did not wear them in the winter, The strap that goes in between your toes has started to come apart on both shoes. And they have become loose and not as comfortable.

The bottle opener is to be used only if you have to.
You have to take the shoe off to open beer, if you have already had a few beers standing on one leg can become a little tricky.

I guess for $40 they are worth the price.

Great Item
These sandals are usually a lot more expensive at the mall! My husband really likes the bottle opener on the sole of the shoe.

Best Sandals I’ve owned
Bought my pair at the Orange County Fair last weekend. They truly are the best feeling sandals I’ve owned and good cushion along with having great support. These pair of sandsls I feel I can wear anywhere, because of the support it provides along with the great feel. I would definitely buy another pair.

these are unlike other rainbows that are all leather; these are soft foam (like the more common reef sandals)

they are very both classy and comfortable.

Fantastic and Very Cool Thongs

Much Better than a regular flop.
I bought the Electra in Black which looks dressier than your average flop and I have been complimented on the style. The FitFlop runs big so even though I wear a 6.5 M in a normal shoe, I wear a 6M in the FitFlop. The FitFlop’s sturdy platform bottom gives you a bit of height and is nicely balanced so you don’t wobble or slide around. I don’t wear flip flops everywhere the way some people do – I’ve seen people wear flip flops with formal dresses, which is an embarrassing fashion mistake. But FitFlops are great for casual and weekend wear. I wear them around the house, for short walks, trips to the store, etc. They are very comfortable and the thong has rounded edges so it doesn’t cut into your foot. I haven’t noticed any significant loss of inches but I was already thin when I got them. I have noticed that they put less pressure on my knees. I’ve had them for two months and with regular use, they still look new. I recommend getting a color with a dark footbed like black or bronze. (Lighter footbeds of sandals show toe marks over time.) Definitely recommend this product.

Really Fabulous!
This is my 1st Pair of FitFlops and I have had them for about 2 weeks. They are extremely comfortable and have great arch support, I would want to wear them regardless of the fitness claims. They also do seem to work, nothing mind blowing, but different muscles are getting worked in these. My calves were burning the first week and a half, but I do walk at least 3 miles a day from work to subway, etc. and I wore the FitFlops the entire time.

The FitFlops did jack up my toes a bit, the thong part that goes between the 1st and 2nd toe is quite hard and rubbed my skin until it bled on both feet. ALL thong style Flip Flops have this effect on me so I rarely wear them. I have built up some thicker skin, though, and now all is comfy.

comfortable but not a workout
These fit flops are comfortable, and really cute, but you cannot feel a thing in terms of the muscles in your legs(and i had mine on all day and night). I would buy them for looks and comfort but if you’re looking for them to work your leg muscles, I wouldn’t bother.

Great sandles for bad knees!!
After having 7 surgeries and arthritis in both knees, I need a shoe with a LOT of cushioning to wear. These flip-flops provide the most comfort I have ever found in any kind of shoe to include athletic shoes. I plan on buying all the colors to wear with everything. They look great and my knees dont hurt after walking around the beach or the stores. I recommend them very highly and I never before felt the need to recommend a product.

Walking on air!!!!
I am typically not a “flip-flop” fan but this one takes the cake!!!!! The cushion the Sanuk yoga mat flip flop provides is unbelievable. It simultaneously is able to form fit to your foot AND spring back after wearing for ultimate cushion later! Amazing footwear!

Amazing Sandals
These are some of the most amazing sandals that I have ever come across. I have to admit, I was a bit put off by the price at first, but many of my suitemates swear by them. When it finally came down to it, I was somehow able to rationalize their price and got them in the sierra brown. My friends told me that they would hurt for the first two weeks because they were made of leather and that it needed to be stretched out. They were right, though it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would, just a bit at the straps. They are amazing and only get more comfortable the more that I wear them. I totally recommend them.

Side Note: My friends with smaller feet felt that it took them a little longer to break in than my 2 weeks. One other friend with feet about my size(8.5, we bought the Larges) had their foot turn really red along the straps, though now she won’t take them off.

Great Product
The scandals came quickly and in great condition! The price was GREAT. All around great purchase.

Runs REAL Big
This is a very comfy flip-flop, and it doesn’t flop as much as some other “flops” that I have had. It definitely runs large. I often wear a size 8, but there is at least one inch sole extending past the end of my toes in this size 8! The thong does tend to irritate the toes just a smidge. I question whether there will be any noticeable benefit in firming and toning the lower body from wearing this particular shoe; however, it is cute and has a nice cushioned sole. The picture shown for the oyster color leads one to believe that it is a light tan or beige. It is not. It is definitely “white.”

Love the FITFLOPS!
Well, these have to be the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever had in my life. I now have 6 pair and want more. I live in them they are so comfy and stylish. The bronze is exceptional although I have to say I like them all. They seem to be helping my leg muscles and gluteus maximus as well. So you can’t go wrong. Just make sure to buy a half size down.

Pleasantly surprised!
I wear an 8-8.5 and have narrow feet. I bought these in an 8 and they fit fine (but look big).
When I first wore the Walkstar III around the house, I thought the strap between the toe was so uncomfortable that I wasn’t going to be able to wear them. I got busy doing something and later realized that I hadn’t even noticed that I still had them on! Now I like them so much that I’ve been walking the dogs in them (instead of tennis shoes, a first!). I bought another pair in ‘Oasis’, a soft suede that I wear instead of slippers. They really do provide support and make my aging feet feel much better. Happy feet make me a much nicer person!
